Technical Support

The Technical Support Center offers timely online technical support to developers dealing with troublesome code, system integration, application development, and more.

Technical Consultancy

The Forum Nokia Technical Consultancy service is available to all Forum Nokia members and is designed to provide personal support for the duration of a mobile-application-development project. With highly skilled technical engineers, the Technical Consultancy service provides personal and in-depth services that can be involved at every level and stage of a project.

Forum Nokia/FN PRO e-store

The Forum Nokia/FN PRO e-store provides also Forum Nokia registrants with access to the following technical services:

Knowledge Base

The Forum Nokia Knowledge Base is a library of known issues and technical solutions. Known issues describe the known differences that devices and platforms have when compared to the specification, and explain situations where the implementation may cause some unexpected behavior. Technical Solutions are generalized Forum Nokia Technical Support answers to developer questions, tips and tricks, and information that may not be documented well enough in other resources. Developers are invited to comment and report known issues.

Training

Forum Nokia's comprehensive training offering gives mobile developers hands-on learning opportunities with the latest tools, technologies, and devices. Forum Nokia's modular approach targets new and existing technologies in the mobile application environment, as well as the basics. SDKs, comprehensive work materials, and companion CDs with all the elements necessary to create mobile applications come with the training.

Application Testing

Application testing is a mandatory aspect of development. Every application offered through Nokia sales channels must have Java Verified™ or Symbian Signed certification guaranteeing its integrity. This section provides directions and helpful guidelines to minimize time-to-market through fast, cheap, and easy testing.

Remote Device Access

Remote Device Access (RDA) service is available for all community developers. RDA technology enables remote access to mobile devices over the Internet and lets you install applications, transfer files, and analyze log files in real time. This free service will let you test mobile applications and services on various Nokia devices based on Symbian OS.

Usability

Usability is the measure of the quality of the user’s experience interacting with a Web site, software application, mobile technology, or device. Documents provide general guidance, as well as tips and tricks for optimizing content for Nokia devices.
