Software Market Publishing Process

The picture and text below describe and discuss the various phases of the publishing process. It is recommended that these steps be closely adhered to. Please note that the developer should not register the application with the Nokia Software Market before the guidelines and the contract documents are carefully read. Additionally the software application has to be tested by the developer. Specific test scripts are available for the developer to download in the Guidelines section.

Step 1.
The company should first go through the Nokia Software Market application guidelines and the Nokia Software Market distribution agreement. This will save time and effort throughout the different steps of the publishing process.

Step 2.
The Nokia Software Market publishing process includes software application testing by the developer. To make sure that the software application is functioning properly in the Nokia 9210 Communicator, the developer should download specific test scripts from the Guidelines section and then run them in the software application. After the software application has successfully passed the scripts, the company can proceed to accepting the distribution agreement.

Step 3.
To make the Publishing Process more efficient, the company should apply to the Nokia Software Market through the Nokia Software Market online registration form in the Registration section. After the company has registered to Nokia Software Market by accepting the distribution agreement, a confirmation of the registration will be sent by e-mail.

Step 4.
The company gets instructions by e-mail from Nokia Software Market on how to proceed. This e-mail will include the description of the material required from the company and the e-mail address where it should be sent.

Step 5.
The company sends the requested material to the Nokia Software Market.

Step 6.
Evaluation of the application and the related material according to the Nokia Software Market application guidelines is carried out. After passing the evaluation phase the application will be entered on the Nokia Software Market website. An e-mail of the projected launch date will be delivered to the company.

If the software application does not meet Nokia Software Market application guidelines, the company is advised by e-mail to change the software application or some specific content and can then reapply.

Step 7.
The new software application is published on the Nokia Software Market website and it is available for end-users to buy it online.
