Tools for Flash Developers

Macromedia Flash from Adobe, the industry standard for delivering rich interactive content to desktop PCs, is now available in a version for mobile devices. Nokia platforms offer Flash developers the opportunity to expand their skills into the mobile space. Flash Lite 1.1 is available in a number of Series 40 devices and all S60 3rd Edition devices. Indeed, the S60 platform is a reference implementation platform for Flash Lite. Flash Lite 1.1 also can be installed by users on most other S60 devices.
With Flash Lite, mobile consumers can either use their devices' browsers to display content that is compatible with Flash Lite or download stand-alone Flash Lite applications. These applications can interact with device features to perform such actions as opening Web pages; sending e mail, SMS, and MMS messages; and dialing phone numbers
For Nokia device users, Flash Lite offers a compelling interactive graphical experience. For developers, Flash Lite offers a relatively low-cost route to rich graphical applications.
