What can I do with the Series 40 Nokia 6212 NFC SDK?
NFC technology enables mobile devices to communicate with NFC tags embedded in everyday objects or to act as smart cards. Using NFC technology, mobile phones can, for example, read a Web address from an NFC tag embedded in a poster, and then open that Web address so the consumer can see more details about a product or service. Alternatively, with NFC technology, mobile phones can act as payment cards, allowing users to make micropayments for services such as public transportation. Nokia has a trial of this type of application under way with Transport for London.
With the Series 40 Nokia 6212 NFC SDK, you are able to develop and test Java™ applications with NFC features similar to those described above.
What’s in the Series 40 Nokia 6212 NFC SDK?
