DRM and Download
Companies involved in mobile content services such as ring tones, wallpapers, or games will be interested in learning more about Digital Rights Management (DRM) and reliable download technologies. These technologies enhance mobile content services with better content, new business models, and reliable delivery of content. Consumers benefit by having better experiences with more interesting content services. View DRM Flash intro »
Nokia is committed to Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Digital Rights Management and OMA Download standards. OMA is the primary standardization forum for the mobile industry. The wide adoption of OMA DRM and OMA Download is fast leading to a critical mass of interoperable devices from many vendors. This scenario is necessary to enable, for example, the business case for superdistribution. The open nature of these standards also enables fast integration of these technologies to existing Download Server platforms from many vendors.
These pages will help you become familiar with OMA DRM and OMA Download standards.
