The Browser Plug-in API enables the development of plug-ins that extend the capabilities of a browser. The Browser Plug-in API enables developers to create plug-ins that can register one or more MIME types, draw inside a browser window, receive key events, obtain data from the network using URIs, and post data to URIs. The Browser Plug-in API is supported from Series 60 Platform 2nd Edition Feature Pack 2, Series 80 Platform 2nd Edition, and the Nokia 7710 multimedia smartphone onwards.
The Browser Plug-In header files can be found from the supported SDKs but the libraries are missing from the Series 60 2nd Edition SDK supporting Feature Pack 2, the Series 80 2nd Edition SDK, and the Nokia 7710 SDK. The header and library packages can be downloaded from here:

This document explains how to develop plug-ins for the Series 60 Platform, the Series 80 Platform, and the Nokia 7710 multimedia
