Spiderman 3 Promotes the Nokia N95 8GB Multimedia Device

Sony Pictures and Nokia are jointly releasing the popular Spiderman 3, and the Nokia N95 8GB multimedia device. The phone will come with a memory card featuring Spiderman content. Even better for "Spidey" fans, the memory-card version is being made available prior to the movie's release on DVD in many markets.

European consumers will be able to personalize their devices with even more Spiderman 3 content via the Download! client. Nokia N95 8GB users will access an exclusive Spiderman 3 fight-scene video montage from a special folder within the Download! client. This will be in addition to the Sony Pictures Spiderman 3 catalog of tones, graphics, and games that consumers can browse and download.

Upload to MOSH — You Could Win a Nokia N95 Multimedia Device

MOSH users can test the popularity of their mobile applications and content and have a chance to win a new Nokia N95 multimedia device. From November 12 through December 2, the creator of the best original MOSH upload of the week will win a new Nokia N95 device. Winners will be chosen according to three criteria: total views, total downloads, and an innovation score awarded by a MOSH panel of judges. To be eligible for the prizes, applications and content must be original. Every upload counts as a single entry and there is no limit to the number of uploads you can contribute.

Upload content to the MOSH site today — you could win a Nokia N95 multimedia device!

New Documents:

S60 Platform: Identification Codes v2.0
This updated document describes how application developers should handle the compatibility of C++ applications at installation time, using S60 identification codes (Platform IDs and Product IDs). Product IDs of the Nokia 6121 Classic, Nokia E51, Nokia N81, and Nokia N95 8GB have been added.
S60 Platform: Document Handler API Developer's Guide v1.1

These handler applications have been registered to be able to handle files with certain MIME types (for example, Notes can handle text format and Image Viewer can show different types of images). In the file opening process, the MIME type recognition is done using Recognizers (implemented as Ecom plugins from S60 3rd Edition onwards). Besides viewing, file operations like move and copy are used in many S60 applications. The document refers to a code example that is available at www.forum.nokia.com.
C++ Developer's Library
The C++ Developer's Library is an integrated package of information for developers wishing to use the S60 platform to develop mobile C++ applications and services. The library includes a C++ API Reference Guide. It also provides links to the Symbian OS online library, and to documentation and example applications available on Forum Nokia. The library is available as a stand-alone version, as an Eclipse plug-in and in HTML format online. The first two versions support searching through the Eclipse platform.
