S60 Platform and Device SDKs for Symbian OS
Description
The all-in-one S60 SDKs enable application development for all devices built on S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 or S60 5th Edition. The SDKs support coding using Qt, Symbian C++, Open C/C++, Java™ technology, web technologies, and Python. The SDK includes all the key resources needed for application development, such as documentation, API reference, examples, and an emulator. An IDE is not included.
Supported runtimes
The all-in-one S60 SDKs support development of applications for the following runtimes:
- Qt (using the Qt Libraries for Symbian).
- Symbian C++.
- Open C/C++ (using the Open C/C++ plug-in).
- Java™ technology.
- Web Runtime (WRT).
- Python (using the PyS60 plug-in).
Supported editions, feature packs, and devices
All-in-one S60 SDKs are available for the following editions, feature packs, and devices:
- Nokia N97 mobile computer and Nokia N97 mini.
- S60 5th Edition.
- S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2.

The S60 5th Edition SDK for Symbian OS and Nokia N97 SDK for Symbian OS include certain open source or other software originating from third parties that may be subject to the GNU General Public License (GPL) and different and/or additional copyright licenses, disclaimers and notices. The exact terms of GPL and some other licenses, disclaimers and notices are reproduced in the materials provided with this product [and are also available at http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html ].
