The Javadocs describe packages in the 2.2 version of the SNAP Mobile SDK. The packages support a complete set of community features for connected mobile games. These features include multiplayer game playing and matchmaking, player rankings, user login and account creation, contact lists, messaging between friends and players, user presence notifications that indicate whether a user is online, and file upload/download (asset management) functionality. The SDK includes a UI Framework API for community and game UI development, and it supports the development of bots, which are AI (artificial intelligence) applications that serve as simulated gameplay opponents.

The new game template package supports quick-and-easy development of connected games through an implementation of key community features that comply with the SNAP Mobile Standard Game Requirements (SGR).
