Using OBEX Random Access File Read, the OBEX Folder Browsing clients can fetch specific sections of files (for example, ID3 tags of MP3 files or thumbnail information of image files) residing in the file system of a Series 40 device in a performance-optimized way. This mechanism can be used over Bluetooth, USB, or IrDA connections.
