The typical S60 phone is packed with useful applications, but users may struggle to maintain a satisfying level of battery power. The Nokia Energy Profiler is an S60 development tool that allows real-time power consumption measurement while applications are running on the device. In this webinar, we’ll cover the fundamentals of power consumption, features in the Nokia Energy Profiler such as basic tool usage, and show examples of applications that are power hogs. These sample applications might work exactly as the developer had intended, but they still cause the battery to lose energy quickly, because simple checks on power consumption were not made when the applications were built.
