SNAP Mobile SDK 2.0

Nokia's SNAP (Scalable Network Application Package) Mobile is an end-to-end turnkey solution that enables connected game playing through a community services infrastructure for both Java™ Platform, Micro Edition (Java™ ME) handsets as well as applications and applets running on the Java Standard Edition platform. SNAP Mobile is the counterpart to the Nokia N-Gage™ Arena client. SNAP Mobile's multiplayer game technology provides mobile devices access to the SNAP Mobile Community server. The SNAP Mobile Client SDK provides tools for creating connected mobile games for devices that comply with mobile information device profile (MIDP) 2.0 and connected limited device configuration (CLDC) 1.0.

The SNAP Mobile Client SDK includes the SNAP Mobile Client API libraries, the SNAP Mobile Emulation Environment application, a handset-network-test tool, sample applications, and developer documentation.

SNAP Mobile games can be run against the PC-based SNAP Mobile Emulation Environment. The emulation environment simulates the behavior of the SNAP Mobile community services cluster and enables the development, debugging, and pre-compliance testing of games without the need for a connection to a live server.
