The SNAP Mobile SDK provides all the resources you’ll need to develop games for the SNAP Mobile platform.
The SDK includes the SNAP Mobile API libraries, the SNAP Mobile Emulation Environment application, the SNAP Mobile Device and Network Test MIDlet, a sample game and other sample applications, and documentation.
The SNAP Mobile API libraries give SNAP Mobile games the ability to access the features offered by the SNAP Mobile Community server. SNAP Mobile SDK 2.2 includes object-oriented APIs that make it easier than ever to quickly and efficiently add SNAP Mobile features to your applications. The APIs are fully documented in the Javadoc™ documentation that’s delivered with the SDK.

The SNAP Mobile Emulation Environment application, which runs on a local PC, allows testing of SNAP Mobile games without connecting to a live SNAP Mobile Community server. The SNAP Mobile Emulation Environment includes debugging features and supports precompliance testing to ensure that your game conforms with the SNAP Mobile Standard Game Requirements (SGR).

Not all devices that use Java™ technology are created equal, and not all networks welcome third-party data traffic. Before devoting development time to a SNAP Mobile project, you should ensure that you’ll be building for a device or network that supports SNAP Mobile. The SDK includes the SNAP Mobile Device and Network Test MIDlet, which lets you determine whether the devices and operator networks you’ve targeted are compatible with SNAP Mobile.
