The Nokia Eseries SDK Plug-ins enable developers to take advantage of the unique enterprise features of the Nokia Eseries devices. The Plug-ins provide developers with APIs for features such as the Printing Framework API and E-mail LED API, as well as full documentation and example code.

The Nokia Eseries SDK Plug-in for the S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 SDK is now available. The plug-in allows developers to add printing, e-mail LED, and Eseries device-identification features to applications for the latest Eseries devices.
Each Nokia Eseries SDK Plug-in adds APIs and emulator skins to the SDK it supports. Using the APIs, developers can add Eseries features to their applications, and the emulator skins allow for testing applications on a Microsoft Windows PC, using screen resolutions and keyboard layouts found on Eseries devices.

To get started with the Nokia Eseries SDK Plug-ins, you’ll need a good knowledge of Symbian C++ programming for the S60 platform. To create your development environment, you’ll need one of the supported SDKs and the corresponding Nokia Eseries SDK Plug-in. First install the SDK and then install the Nokia Eseries SDK Plug-in. You may also want to consider installing Carbide.c++, which is designed to streamline Symbian C++ development.
