The services will be developed in collaboration with both users and industry, beginning with Idea Cellular Ltd., an Indian
operator. Nokia Life Tools is scheduled to launch in India during the first half of 2009, with the new Nokia 2323 classic

T-Mobile in U.S. Selling Unlocked Nokia S60 Devices on Contract
U.S. consumers can now buy selected Nokia devices unlocked, without operator branding, and at competitive prices, reports
Symbian-Guru.com. Best Buy, a major U.S. electronics retailer, is selling unlocked/unbranded Nokia S60 3rd Edition smartphones with contracts
from T-Mobile, the site reports. Best Buy is reportedly offering the Nokia E71 mobile device, unlocked and unbranded, with a two-year contract from T-Mobile for under $200, and the Nokia N96 multimedia device with a similar deal for under $600. "In a country where carrier branding runs rampant ... this is a refreshing
change," Symbian-Guru.com writes.

Developer's Libraries Moving Online
The Forum Nokia Developer's Libraries are the place for application development information. Online versions of the Developer's
Libraries are moving to an Eclipse-based environment, meaning they are now viewed via the Infocenter. The Infocenter supports search, so developers can search the entire Infocenter, define a search's scope to cover a certain
library, or search just a library section or topic. Printing a whole library or a library section is also enabled if you prefer
a paper copy. And the downloadable versions of libraries remain available, too. Currently the Infocenter holds the Design and User Experience Library and the S60 5th Edition C++ Developer's Library. Other libraries will be moved to the Infocenter soon.

Come and Get 'Em: Code Snippets
Code snippets are the latest addition to the Forum Nokia Knowledge Base, which provides articles written by Nokia experts
on known issues, technical solutions, and mobile technologies. Forum Nokia code snippets are easily reusable code blocks that either perform certain tasks or demonstrate API use cases. The example code has been created with the SDKs and been tested on real devices.
Also, to make it easier for developers to find relevant snippets, Forum Nokia recently added a template that maps common use cases to code snippets of various technologies. Developers now have a simple Forum Nokia test application,
ExampleStub, that they can use to test the newest snippets, evaluate their use in applications, and examine related patch
information. Forum Nokia, which started providing Symbian C++ code snippets in the spring, is now expanding the snippet offerings
to other major technologies, including Web Runtime (WRT), Flash Lite, Java, and Open C/C++.
