Every six months, Forum Nokia invites outstanding members of the forum.nokia.com community to accept a one-year membership in this reward program. Honorees are selected on the basis of their technical expertise and their activities and contributions to forum.nokia.com online and offline services and communities. Each Forum Nokia Champion earns elevated professional profile and status, sponsored access to Nokia technical services, and exclusive networking opportunities.
• Why is Nokia offering Forum Nokia Champion?
• Forum Nokia wants forum.nokia.com community members to know that Forum Nokia appreciates their hard work and involvement in our community. Forum Nokia Champion is Nokia's way of recognizing and rewarding those members who show technological expertise and willingness to share their expertise with their peers.
  
  Nokia wants this reward program to serve as an incentive for individuals to contribute and commit to the community and to improve customer connections and interaction. The Forum Nokia community is most effective when mobile technology experts from around the world share their ideas and opinions.
• How does Nokia select Forum Nokia Champions?
• The key criteria in the selection of a new member for Forum Nokia Champion are the forum.nokia.com registrant's technical expertise and activity both in online and offline channels. Only members of Forum Nokia may be considered as valid nominees. Selection is based on knowledge displayed through contributions to forum.nokia.com, as well as proven expertise in the mobile developer community. A list of example areas that may be monitored as a basis for selection can be found at Become a Forum Nokia Champion -page. Every six months, Forum Nokia evaluates both the quantity and quality of forum.nokia.com registrants' activity and expertise and compares their activities against those of their peers. Forum Nokia gets information on registrants' activity by monitoring Forum Nokia online and offline services and communities, and registrants can present their activities for consideration by Forum Nokia by using the Web tool.
• How often does Forum Nokia select new members for Forum Nokia Champion?
• Every six months we select new members for Forum Nokia Champion by evaluating forum.nokia.com registrants' technical achievements and activities in the forum.nokia.com community. During their one-year period of membership in Forum Nokia Champion, honorees may refer to themselves as Forum Nokia Champions and enjoy all other program benefits.
• Who can apply to Forum Nokia Champion?
• All registrants of forum.nokia.com are possible candidates for membership in Forum Nokia Champion. Any registered member of forum.nokia.com who shows outstanding technical expertise and/or activities within the Forum Nokia community may be nominated for selection.
• What is the difference between Forum Nokia Champion and Forum Nokia Launcpad program?
• Forum Nokia Champion targets individual members of forum.nokia.com, and participation in this reward program is based on each member's personal activities, achievements, and technical expertise. Members of Forum Nokia Champion represent themselves, and the benefits are awarded to them personally. Forum Nokia Launchpad is a subscription-based program for professional developer companies. In Forum Nokia Launchpad, representation and related benefits are on company level.
• Can a Forum Nokia Launchpad member be part of Forum Nokia Champion?
• Forum Nokia Launchpad is a program for professional developer companies. A company cannot be nominated for recognition by Forum Nokia Champion. However, an employee of a Forum Nokia company may be nominated for and win membership in the Forum Nokia Champion reward program.
• Do Forum Nokia Champions represent Nokia?
• No. Forum Nokia Champion membership does not mean employment at Nokia. Forum Nokia Champions represent themselves, and they do not speak on Nokia's behalf. Forum Nokia Champions are recognized by Nokia as being the most outstanding third-party individual members of the forum.nokia.com community. Each Forum Nokia Champion earns membership as a result of his or her own achievements.
  
  A Nokia employee who is a registered member of forum.nokia.com and shows outstanding technical expertise and/or activity in the community beyond his or her employment may be granted Forum Nokia Champion status. Such a person represents only herself or himself in the reward program. Nokia employment does not preclude participation in this reward program; furthermore, such Forum Nokia Champions do not join the reward program as Nokia representatives.
• What kinds of benefits do Forum Nokia Champions get from Nokia?
• Enhanced recognition is the key benefit of being a member of Forum Nokia Champion. Forum Nokia Champions earn one-year membership in the Forum Nokia Champion reward program and can take advantage of the related benefits. Forum Nokia Champions have the right to use the Forum Nokia Champion title and qualifier image during their membership year. They get a welcome gift, are showcased as Forum Nokia Champions online, enjoy sponsored technical services, can better connect with industry leaders via various events, and gain exclusive access to the Forum Nokia Champion extranet. • Are there fees associated with Forum Nokia Champion membership?
• No. The Forum Nokia Champion membership and its related benefits are free of charge.
  
  Certain activities that may serve as a basis for invitation to this reward program - for example, application certification - cost money, but no paid activity is a requirement of nomination for this reward program. Forum Nokia evaluates forum.nokia.com registrants' activity and technical expertise in many areas.
• Does Nokia pay Forum Nokia Champions?
• No. Forum Nokia gives Forum Nokia Champions a small welcome gift and other personal benefits that form the core of this reward program, but Forum Nokia Champions receive no monetary payment from Nokia.
• What does Nokia expect from Forum Nokia Champions?
• Forum Nokia Champion membership is awarded on the basis of forum.nokia.com registrants' past activity and technical expertise. Nokia's only expectation is continued adherence to Forum Nokia Champion Terms of Membership and Non-Disclosure Agreement. All registrants of forum.nokia.com are required to accept the Legal Notice and Privacy Policy It is, of course, Forum Nokia's hope that all Forum Nokia Champions will continue to advance their technical expertise and sustain a high level of activity in the Forum Nokia community.
• How can I become a Forum Nokia Champion?
• If you want to become a Forum Nokia Champion and have not yet registered at forum.nokia.com, you should start by registering. Individuals are nominated on the basis of their technical expertise and/or activities, as well as activity in the forum.nokia.com offline and online communities. You can review the criteria used for evaluating registrants' technical activity and expertise in the third answer. Forum Nokia can monitor some activities through our online channels — for example, the Forum Nokia Blogs, Discussion Boards - but to improve your chances, you should also submit a list of your activities through the online application tool.
  
  Forum Nokia Champion memberships are awarded on the basis of individual members' technical expertise and activities. • Can a person be asked to join Forum Nokia Champion more than once?
• Yes. Because evaluation is based on forum.nokia.com registrants' expertise and involvement in our community, an active honoree may receive a subsequent invitation to join Forum Nokia Champion within several years of his or her initial membership.
• Does each Forum Nokia Champion have a dedicated personal-support contact at Nokia?
• No. Forum Nokia Champions are not promised personal-support contact from Nokia. If Forum Nokia Champions need to contact the Forum Nokia Champion team, they may use an e mail address that is available exclusively for their use. Forum Nokia Champions can meet Nokia people at selected physical and virtual events available to Forum Nokia Champions.
• Who are Forum Nokia Champions?
• Forum Nokia Champions are a select group of outstanding individuals who are honored because of their skills and devotion to the Forum Nokia's developer community. All the current Forum Nokia Champions who have given their permission are listed at the Forum Nokia Champion page. Forum Nokia Champions also may have their personal pages at this site.
